Every year in the beautiful town of San Miniato in the lower Valdarno, the tradition of the Palio di San Rocco and the Festival of pensiero popolare. The town, known for its white truffles, fills up for the occasion since 10 August, exhibitions, music, events, shows and games for children.
The Festival is dedicated to the Via Francigena and the Via Romea, two way along and wove San Miniato. To fill the streets, squares and churches of the old town during the nine days of the festival you can find shows, meetings and film screenings.
The whole city is ready to welcome visitors who want to discover its history and folklore through the Palio di San Rocco which concludes the Festival day 16 August.
