Tuscany, land of many varieties, possesses within the territorial area of the Colline Metallifere a wine that stands out in the Tuscan wine scene, the Monteregio DOC. Monteregio di Massa Marittima DOC designation was assigned in 1994 and includes within it the vineyards of Sangiovese, Trebbiano Toscano, Syrah and Viognier.
The grapes assigned to the production of this wine must come exclusively from vineyards stretching between the hills of the upper Maremma; from these you get red, white, rosé, Vermentino, Novello Vin Santo of the highest quality. Each with unmistakable organoleptic characteristics: Ruby Red and fruity smell of the reds obtained with Sangiovese, straw yellow and the intense flavor of whites, for attaining to the amber color of Vin Santo composed of Trebbiano and Malvasia. Wines of great tradition prepared to marry well with the typical dishes of Maremma.
