A PLACE THAT BRINGS BACK GIOTTO
Vicchio saw a distinctive development around the 15th century, when they were built many churches of inestimable value, including the beautiful Chiesa di San bartolomeo a Molezzano with a lovely Renaissance-style portico in front the façade. At the gates of this charming place in the heart of Mugello is still present the ancient Ponte di Ragnaia where according to a legend met Cimabue and a young Giotto.
Vicchio is still associated with the figures that made great Tuscany and art in the world, making this small town a place rich in tradition and culture. Perhaps one of the most beautiful spots on the whole Tuscany.

At the foot of the Valle del Mugello, Vicchio is always careful to reproduce faithfully the typical dishes of the local cuisine. The main products are:
The classic "pecorino del Mugello", a cheese that looks perfect to taste with fresh or seasoned to the splendid Tuscan salami is one of the products in this land must be fair; the "tortello mugellano", a delicacy with its unique stuffing and meat sauce that enhances the flavors; the red Tuscan wines, consistent and decisive and that bring the scents of the wonderful land that produces them.
