A MATCH OF ART AND LANDSCAPES
Of Etruscan origin, this beautiful place surrounded by green Tuscan almost near the Emilia Romagna experienced a development during the 18th century. Arriving back in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany who wanted to build the famous via Bolognese, money became a bustling downtown through imports that favoured the construction process.
Within the country are preserved some churches containing works of sacred art valuable. In the Church of Santa Maria in Paterno you can observe a precious terracotta depicting San Lorenzo by Luca della Robbia, while just outside the town is the impressive Church of San Romolo in Bivigliano. Inside is a wooden work of San Giovanni Battista attributed to Michelozzo and a beautiful altarpiece depicting the Virgin and child by Andrea della Robbia.
Traditions and Typical products
Money order, in the Centre and not far from Florence offers a wide selection of typical products. Fantastic meats and cheeses accompanied by the unmistakable Tuscan red wine, at Mugello cuisine, home of the famous "tortelli di patate".
