Every April 25 in Panzano, a small district of Greve in Chianti, between Greve and Castellina, held the "Festa della Stagion Bona".
For more than fifty years the pretty village, deep in the Chianti hills, is the set for the re-enactment, rigorously in historical costumes, of the ancient feud between the noble families of Gherardini of the Castle of Montagliari and Firidoldi of Panzano and the proceed against Carlo de' Gherardini, guilty of the murder of a member of Firidolfi's family.
The Festival is really getting going when the procession parade through the streets of the village to the Castle, place of the trial, to continue with music and dances, tastings of typical products and the inevitable wine Chianti Classico.
