The soup, traditionally considered a peasant dish, has been rediscovered for the simplicity of its preparation. Is consumed in autumn, when the season allows job seekers to find fungi and to collect them. The mushroom soup is served in restaurants and traditional taverns that are located in the villages of Chiusdino, Monticiano and Sovicille. Accompanied by toasted Tuscan bread, this dish goes perfectly with the Tuscan reds resolute and slightly fruity.
