Tenuta Il Palagio is located in the rolling hills of Tuscany in the South of Florence and from 1997 belongs to the singer Sting, the famous voice of The Police. Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler, fascinated by Tuscany and its rural atmosphere, often reside in the private house that is located on a property of 350 hectars.
This extraordinary sixteenth-century estate surrounded by vineyards of the Chianti area is located above the town of Figline and Incisa Valdarno. It once belonged to the Duke Simone Vincenzo Velluti Zati di San Clemente, now it is a great location for events and offers luxury spaces suitable for weddings and ceremonies. The evocative atmosphere of Il Palagio offers breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside, a spectacle to be admired by the pool or immersed in private park.
The hospitality of Trudie and Sting at Villa Il Palagio follows perfectly the Tuscan style and is taken care in great detail. The estate consists of five guesthouses, all lovingly renovated by the famous owners.
The agricultural holding Il Palagio owns olive groves and vineyards, that produce olive oil and wine with biologic methods. From Sting’s winery come out fine labels dedicated to the most famous songs of the former Police, as "Message in A Bottle", "Sister Moon" and "When We Dance". Wine and Bio olive oil, together with fruit, vegetables, local cold cuts and honey, can be purchased at the farm shop located just a few steps away from the estate.
The estate of Sting in Tuscany is not just an agritourism, it is an authentic experience within nature: guests can relax with a walk at the Lake of the Villa, play tennis, rejuvenate with a yoga class, find tranquility at the enchanting meditation gardens or spend a day on horseback.
