The farm Tenuta di Castelfalfi is located in a natural environment, nestled among the hills of Montaione, at the border between the provinces of Pisa and Florence, in Empolese-Valdelsa zone.
One thousand three hundred hectares of land, of which about 350 made of Woods and cerrete, interspersed with small ponds which are almost completely within the Protected Natural Area of ??the Carfalo torrent. A place where nature reigns supreme and where you can also admire the curious spectacled salamander and many other animal species.
It is in this context that comes to life every day at Tenuta di Castelfalfi an ancient agricultural tradition, made up of crops from which arise the highest quality products, practiced in full respect of the environment for the maintenance of the beautiful natural landscape.
A job carried out, daily with dedication, in the over 20 hectares of vineyards planted with Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Alicante, Vermentino and Viognier, to create products that follow the criteria of organic farming. The wines of the farm Tenuta di Castelfalfi, can also be tasted at the premises of the Barrel, in an environment furnished with taste and originality. More recently planted, inside the estate, about 2600 olives of the Frantoio, Leccino, Leccio del Corno and Pendolino that together with other traditional olive groves comprise 8000 at the company. The fragrant olive oils are pressed, with a line of cold extraction only, in the mill of Castelfalfi giving rise to oils with exceptional organoleptic properties.
