THE REAL SITE OF THE BATTLE OF ALTOPASCIO, SYMBOL OF LUCCHESIA

Located at the heart of the Valle delle sei Miglia to the West, where you can see the Alpi Apuane, Porcari bequeaths his story at battles between Guelph Florence and Ghibelline Lucca. It is believed that the territory was the theatre of the battle of the famous battle of Altopascio.

The medieval castle of Porcari, symbol of this historic episode, there are traces in the remains of the walls lay on the Hill of the village overlooking the countryside below.
