Podere Paterno is a working farm committed to producing top quality sheep cheese made exclusively with milk from their own herds. Set amidst the green hills of Maremma, in the municipality of Monterotondo Marittimo, carries out its activities in full respect of the environment and animals.
The Prince of products made by Podere Paterno is definitely the pecorino, made of special techniques passed down through generations that give rise to unique flavors and sophisticated, but there is no shortage of fresh products such as cottage cheese or the delicious cottage cheese. Cheese production respects the seasonal cycles of animals and rejects any hormone treatment that alters their nature.
But the care and respect for nature does not end here: Podere Paterno uses a double system, photovoltaic and geothermal energy, to maintain a complete selfsufficiency and at the same time generate an impact minimum environmental. Thanks to these measures, farm products can wear the mark of the Community Webo to renewable energies of Tuscany.
