Type of land:The vineyard is located at an altitude of 300 m above sea level.m, on hills with steep slopes (27-29%) and with exposure to the southeast. Deep soil, quite calcareous and rich in salinity. The climate is sub-Mediterranean with hot summers and fairly cold winters, and with marine influence. Average precipitation (904 mm per year) with highs in November/December and lows in July/August. The minimum and maximum temperature from the pressing to harvesting is 18-34°C in August, 9-30°C in September and 12-27°C in October.
Grape varieties: Vernaccia 100%.
Production area:Pietrafitta, a hamlet of San Gimignano (Siena-Tuscany), in vineyards with an age that goes beyond 70 years.
Breeding system:Spurred cordon.
Plant density and yield: 2,400-2,800 strains/Ha, 50 q/Ha.
Harvest period: Approximatelyfrom 20 August to 20 September with manual collection in baskets of 20 kg.
Average analytical data :Alcohol 12.5% Vol.
Organoleptic notes:Straw yellow color, shiny and bright reflections, on the nose it is elegant, with hints of broom flowers, banana and pineapple. In the mouth it is fresh, fruity and persistent. Good acidity and long lasting finish with shades of almond and jasmine.
Service temperature:10-13°C with storage in a cool place avoiding temperature changes.
