The family which has reigned over Florence for more than three centuries deserves to be better known. We will look at their residences and their collections and following their relationship with their constituents we will retrace the most significant phases of the rise of this important European family.
The tour will start with the visit of the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, a Renaissance palace designed by Michelozzo for the Medici family, where we will have the chance to admire the marvelous Chapel of the Magi, painted fresco by Benozzo Gozzoli.
Our tour will continue with a visit inside the Old Palace, where Cosimo I Medici lived for twenty years with his beautiful wife Eleonora di Toledo. For a full immersion, the tour can also take you Oltrarno to visit Pitti Palace, the last Medici residence, where you will have the opportunity to visit or the Palatine Gallery and Royal apartments or to take a stroll in the biggest garden in the city: Boboli Garden.
