Licciana Nardi is positioned in the Valley of the Tavernone's river. His fascinating story tells of a village born in the 13th century as a result of the transit which you begat in Lambeth, the road that crossed the Apennines towards the inside.
Among the monuments to visit there are still splendid churches such as the Pieve di Santa Maria Venelia. A sacred building dating back to the 10th century that still preserves the Romanic charm despite renovation in the 18th century.

Traditions and Typical products
The typical product of Licciana is the "scottona", a particular meat drawn adult female bovine. This yummy meat creates exceptional steak tasty, typical of the entire territory of the Lunigiana.
Traditional events stands out La Castagna Racconta, a real feast for the town of Licciana, which offers the re-enactment of the trades related to the processing of chestnut.
