Le Arti Orafe, one of the most prestigious European schools specialized in gold, is based in the neighbourhood of artistic craftsmanship of Florence, San Frediano.
It was founded in 1985 by Giò Carbone, and was the first school dedicated to the study of jewellery.
Offers courses of all kinds as goldsmiths, cutting of gemstones, jewelry design, CAD, stone setting, engraving, Gemology, waxes.
The school's approach is intended to give priority to learning based on a solid foundation and professional skills.
The school selects every year 60 new students, who come from around the world. The professional and friendly at the same time, with a school community comprised of students of all ages, welcomes new members and helps them settle in quickly.
There are five Labs for practical activities, a classroom of Gemology, a CAD lab, three classrooms for drawing lessons and lectures and a library with over 1300 volumes dedicated to Jewelry: this is the structure that welcomes students from all over the world.
