The long tradition of Campo nell'Elba is sculpted in granite that for centuries the inhabitants of the land they work.
The activity in the large cave was first introduced by the Romans and by the Pisans then and continues until 1348 when stopping because of the plague. The activity begins again later with the manufacture of products for the local market.
