Giannini family of Florence began its work of bookbinding in 1856 with Pietro? Giannini, who opened a small shop in Piazza Pitti. Among his first customers include the Grand Duke Leopold II of Lorraine who resided at the Palazzo Pitti.
The shop has remained the Center of artistic craftsmanship of quality for centuries. The Gandhi have always been dedicated to the decoration of leather and parchment with gold foil, becoming the creators of the "Florentine style".
Giulio Senior, son of Pietro, founded the present company along with his son Guido, who increased his knowledge of bookbinding and printing, preferring largely the Renaissance style or classical style.
Guido passed on their experience and passion to his son Julius Junior, allowing him to realise a great variety of designs using for example old stamps.
With a deep passion and understanding of color and the art of marbling, the niece Maria together with Guido Junior (fifth generation) carry on the ancient tradition of the art workshop.
Aware of the ancient Florentine tradition of do they continue with all activities related to the artistic achievements of ancient books: binding, leather desk sets, photo albums, greeting cards, guest books and a variety of objects created to order.
