LAND OF MASTERS LEATHERWORKERS
The town of Fucecchio, located on the right bank of the Arno, covers much of the area on the slopes of a hill which since ancient times has taken the name of Poggio Salamartano.
The origins of Fucecchio are linked to the history of the counts Cadolingi, House Pistoia that around the year 1000 dominated individual lands in the Valdinievole and in the lower Valdarno.
