LAND OF TYPICAL PRODUCTS
Fosdinovo is on the Northern hilly expanse of Lunigiana featured a part almost flat and hilly. Its history is linked to the alternation of Tuscan families in the area. The annexation of the Duchy of Massa and Carrara before, and of Modena and Reggio after, led to the construction of many buildings full of art. The Chiesa di San Remigio adorned by a ramp in Carrara marble is a true masterpiece, how beautiful are the ancient towers and villas. One of these is the Villa Malaspina in which are preserved frescoes and an Italian garden.
Traditions and Typical products
The main products of Fosdinovo, fruit of fertile land that abiding crop Lunigiana offers, are no real specialty.
The Vermentino IGT Val di Magra, is a white wine ideal with fish dishes.
The Pomo Rodelo, is an Apple with a designation "traditional product of Tuscany", from which we get a tasty juice produced at local companies.
