The crushed fiorentina is a typical Tuscan sweet of the Carnival period.
This is a sweet deceptively simple but difficult preparation. Is quite low, soft and usually occurs with a rectangular or square. Consists of simple ingredients and poor: wheat flour, sugar, butter, milk, egg, yeast, cinnamon and a pinch of vanilla powder. To give it the typical golden color and sweet flavor you add orange peels.
In recent years have appeared new versions topped with chantilly whipped cream or anything.
