Full of beautiful churches and surrounded by charming villages, this place in the heart of Lunigiana is considered one of the most historic Tuscany. Are proof of the finds from the iron age of the 12th century BC and the alternation between the Malaspina and Medici Tuscan families who have left a noticeable mark on the territory.
Traditions and Typical products
One of the typical products of Lunigiana coming from Filattiera is the spalla cotta, a special spicy and salty ham, cooked and seasoned very tasty because wrapped in fat. Unique is good to go with the excellent Tuscan red wines.
