On Easter Monday (April 2nd) the traditional Sweet Flour Festival will take place in Piteglio.
Like every year, the citizens of Piteglio and neighboring countries meet to celebrate the "Festa Grossa", an event of the local tradition that recalls when the inhabitants of the village came back from their families for Easter.
There will be numerous stalls in the square with typical local products: inevitable the necci and the castagnaccio. For the occasion, the Bell Tower will be open and guided tours of the Tower and the Church will be organized.
For those who want to stop for lunch or dinner, the restaurants will serve a menu based on typical dishes, cooked according to tradition.
