The Azienda Agricola Davinum was founded in 2006 when the family Schaetti bought the company Casalta, a villa surrounded by 6 hectares of mostly uncultivated with passion and dedication has been given a new life.
Day by day the family Schaetti his assistants take care of the vineyards and olive trees to produce high quality products.
The vines are planted with grapes: Sangiovese, Merlot, Foglia Tonda and Pugnitello in clay soils of Pliocene origin.
When they reach the right degree of ripening the grapes are harvested by hand, and the berries are then selected. Only the most firm and intact skin will then be used for Davinum wines.
After fermentation, the wine is put to rest in stainless steel tanks for the time required for the degradation of fatty acids. In the cellar, finally, the wine is aged in French oak barriques where it matures and ages.
The resulting wine production makes "Solouno", "Toscanetti" and “Nostrum“ and "Opal" an excellence, because in Davinum we prefer quality over quantity.
The wine cellar at the company is open to all visitors who want to try and share an experience of pleasure for the palate, and taste the excellent wines produced in an environment of great charm; is located in via B.Ciurini 46 in Castelfiorentino (FI).
