Schiaccia alla campigliese is a typical dessert of Campiglia Marittima. This crushes, from round shape , it is highly crunchy and it's accompanied with vin santo. Its preparation involves the mixture of ingredients such as flour, eggs, lard or butter, sugar and pine nuts. The traditional recipe required also adding other nuts that gave way to the dough is thicker.
Crushes campigliese has obtained registration of the mark and can be made and sold only by authorized pastries that run an oven or very specific discipline.
