THE VILLAGE THAT GETS LOST IN THE WOODS
Positioned on the valleys of the Taverone torrent South of the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park which is part of the municipality of Comano, this village stands on a beautiful wooded area located 600 meters above sea level.
Of its ancient medieval past remains today the impressive Tower of the ancient castle that was part of an ensemble of fortifications built by the ancient Malaspina Tuscan family.
To visit the surrounding area, where outside you can take spectacular trekking routes immersed in nature.
Traditions and Typical products
All typical Lunigiana are present in Comano and its surroundings. The delicious dishes made of chestnuts flour as the "pattona", or the more traditional flavours of Tuscan table accompanied by a good red wine, can be found inside of the classic dining that all territory makes available.
