Place of Mystery

The municipality stretches from the spine of the Pratomagno mountains to the South and the River to the East, surrounded by the green hills of the Tuscan countryside.

TheEcomuseo della Casa Contadina, witnessed excellent Capolona tie traditional costumes and habits of the past. The Museum documents the popular traditions by rebuilding the domestic life of the peasants of Casentino. Don't miss the Museo della Pietra, museum tour that illustrates the traditional material processing in the territory.

 

Traditions and typical products

In the village of Castelluccio, there is the medieval reenactment Campus Leonis, an event full of activities in medieval style.

To celebrate the local specialities, each year on the first Sunday of April is the temporary exhibition Filiera del Tartufo e dell'Artigianato. An event with food stalls with the treasures of the place, the black truffle and the "marzolino" and an exhibition of crafts.

Among the best wines of Tuscany: Chianti Colli Aretini, lands the Vinsanto del Chianti dei Colli Aretini Occhio di Pernice and Valdichiana DOC.
