THE VILLAGE THAT HOSTS THE ART
Capannoli, nestled in the Green and Yellow clay hills of the Valdera, is positioned in the heart of Tuscany. The ancient history of borgo, traced back to before the year 1000, intertwines with the political events in medieval times that led him to be dominated by Pisa and Florence.
Within the area there are many buildings of great artistic value and precious works of art. Villa Martelli Orlandini is an outstanding example of trompe-l 'œil, while Villa Baciocchi is a hybrid of late Baroque and neoclassicism.
Many churches throughout the area, instead, are home to some of the masterpieces of sacred art as a fresco of the Madonna con Bambino by Benozzo Gozzoli, inside the Oratorio San Rocco.
