MEDIEVAL VILLAGE IN THE SETTING OF CHIANTI
The commune of Bucine is positioned between the Chianti mountains, along the Valle dell'Ambra, near the upper valley of the Arno.
In addition to the quaint old town, Bucine deserves to be visited the Abbazia di San Pietro a Ruoti, inside which there is an altarpiece depicting the Incoronazione della Vergine by Neri di Bicci (painter of the 400th). Other significant building is the Castello di Cennina, built in the 12th century and from whose top you can admire the surrounding tuscan countryside.
Traditions and Typical products
Every year in Bucine held "La Marronata", a fair that celebrates the chestnut and where you can try typical tuscan sweet "castagnaccio". Among the wines of the area on Barricca, produced in Bucine, smooth taste due to the rest of two years in oak barrels, planned for its realization.
