THE ARTISTIC CHARM OF A VILLAGE AND ITS MYSTERIOUS PONTE DEL DIAVOLO
Borgo a Mozzano is placed in the Valle del Serchio, a few kilometres from the town of Lucca.
The country strategically located, was connected to Lucca via Nuova Clodia, the Via Francigena which led to alternative to Parma and other major cities for business. A convent and two beautiful churches make Borgo a Mozzano a place full of art. Here are the works of Della Robbia, authors of the Simulacro della Maddalena, in the Church of St. Jacopo.
Near the village there is the Ponte del Diavolo, the structure which allows you to cross the Serchio River. The bridge is surrounded by legends about its construction and that the devil is in the waters of the river.
