THE ANCIENT PLACE OF CONTROL OF LUNIGIANA
Bagnone is born on Monte Sillara, in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Thanks to the Creek that runs through the town almost entirely Residential creating small waterfalls inside the village, Bagnone is one of the most charming places of Tuscany.
Its origins date back to the stone age but the village knows a development in the middle ages thanks to the Malspina family that exercised control at the time. The Castello di Bagnone, a stronghold built around the 16th century, had an important control function due to the strategic location of the village. Not open to the public, the castle is a late medieval architectural masterpiece that you can appreciate from the outside.
