From the great passion for the land that led Leonardo Manetti as a child to return home from school to participate in the harvest, comes to life in 2009 the winery that bears his name.
The Azienda Agricola Leonardo Manetti is the dream of childhood, the desire to deal with agriculture and follow the footprints already drawn from the family, which has always been committed in the production of wine, olive oil and the cultivation of Iris.
In the company of his grandfather Leonardo has learned all the tricks of the trade that he perfected in 2007 with a degree in viticulture and enology. In the land that gave it birth, Chianti, could not therefore does not deal with wines.
The fertile hills of Chianti, with their stony and their inclinations have always been dedicated to the production of high quality red wines. What ensues are structured wines with harmonic flavour and intense ruby colour.
Today, with commitment and dedication Leonardo personally oversees all phases of their achievement helped by Father Giorgio and from the whole family. Products that are born are the result of knowledge of tradition combined with modern technical knowledge.
In addition to the fine Chianti Classico DOCG wine, the company also produces an excellent Tuscan IGT wine, an extra-virgin olive oil and is grown the pale Iris, widely used in the perfume and cosmetics industry.
The Leonardo Manetti Agricultural Company is born from the love of a young entrepreneur for his land and the agricultural world.
In the heart of the historic Chianti Classico, land of great wines and the famous Gallo Nero brand, the wines of the Leonardo Manetti farm are born. The Sangiovese here is cultivated with the characteristic Tuscan bow, when the grapes are harvested by hand and the must obtained is fermented. The wine matures at least one year in barrels and ages for a few months in bottle before going on sale.
Leonardo has chosen to become an agricultural entrepreneur to be able to devote himself full time to what he loves most and because he believes in the simple and genuine values of the peasant world, values that have also awakened his poetic vein.
