The Azienda Agricola Leonardo Manetti is located in one of the most suggestive areas of Tuscany, Chianti hills, in Via Maestro da Greve 84 in Greve in Chianti.
The vine-olive growing farm covers about 10 hectares of land that give life to the famous Chianti Classico DOCG wine as well as an excellent Tuscan IGT wine. Together with these two flagship productions, the farm produces excellent extra virgin olive oil obtained from the union of the four most characteristic olive varieties of the Chianti hills: the Frantoio, the Moraiolo, the Correggiolo and the Leccino.
The Azienda Agricola Leonardo Manetti is among the few to cultivate the Iris, known more commonly as “Giaggiolo“ and used especially in the perfume industry and cosmetics.
Strong of his knowledge derived from the passion of infancy for the agricultural world, from the years of work in the farm of his grandfather and the degree in Viticulture and Enology, achieved in 2007, Leonardo is dedicated in the first person to the cultivation of his land to obtain products that are the result of a mixture of tradition and modern technical knowledge.
At the Azienda Agricola Leonardo Manetti, each step is followed with care and dedication by the whole family; Leonardo with his father Giorgio monitors the actions of collection and the wine production process, up to its marketing.
The simple and genuine values of a land like Tuscany guide Leonardo in the management of the company and also encourage his poetic vein. In her spare time, infact, delights in writing verses in which shines through his love for his land and flavors, colors and scents of which it bears. From the fusion of man with nature and poetry was also created the company logo designed by artist Alessandro Matta, a feather writing, pictograph of Leonardo Manetti world .
The wines of the Azienda Agricola Leonardo Manetti are born in the hills of Greve in Chianti, here the land ranging from limestone to clayey and sandstone are all suitable for the production of great wines. The grapes reached at the right degree of ripeness are selected and harvested manually, then crushed until the must is transferred to the vine vessels where the alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. The Sangiovese, the most important grape of the company by percentage, allows to obtain structured and elegant wines with an intense ruby red color with a floral scent and a harmonious and dry taste.
