The Associazione degli Esercizi Storici Tradizionali e Tipici Fiorentini Association is operational since february 2013. Two Florentine businessmen, Gherardo Filistrucchi and Elisabetta Bongi, together with about fifty other partners, gave birth to the Association, which wants to promote and safeguard the typical activities of Esercizi Storici (Historical Business/System?) in Florence, inasmuch as cultural, social and traditional heritage of the city.
To date, more that 70 historical companies have joined the network, some of them are considered as "Imprese Storiche d’Italia” from the Unioncamere.
