The most eagerly awaited musical event of the year returns to animate the summer in the beautiful city of Lucca.
The 2018 is a concert line-up full of stars from the world rock, pop and soul. The concerts of the Lucca Summer Festival in Piazza Napoleone, Piazza San Martino, Piazza dell'anfiteatro will host national and international stars the likes of Ringo Starr, Gianni Morandi, Queens of the Stone Age, Roger Waters and many others.
Every year, the event repeats but the music is always renewed: many artists, new band, new songs but mostly new thrills at the Lucca Summer Festival.
Who was the first to perform at the Lucca Summer Festival?
It was on 6 July 1998 when the great artist and composer Bob Dylan opened the first concert event of the Lucca Summer Festival, until the last Edition with a record 55,000 spectators
which ended on 23 September 2017 with the magnet concert (and the only Italian date of the tour "No Filter") of the Rolling Stones.
They trod the stage artists like David Bowie, sugar, Seal, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Elthon John, Anastacia, Giorgia, Green Day, Patty Pravo, Alicia Keys, Ennio Morricone.
